Xylofagou village located on the south- eastern tip of Cyprus, about three miles from Cape Pyla, in a low plateau. It is one of the «Kokkinochoria» (red villages), which belongs in Larnaca district. The closest villages are Ormideia, Liopetri and Avgorou. The current population is about 8000.

The population of the village is pure Greek. The village appears to be more than 200 years old.
